Bespoke wine tour to Saint-Emilion and Pomerol

In August 2020, my American guests living in the Netherlands asked me for a special half-day wine tour to St. Emilion.
I picked them up at 9am in front of the Grand Hotel Intercontinental. What a surprise when they discovered my DS Limousine Convertible! This exceptional vehicle tells you how exceptional will be your experience!
Instead of going direct to St. Emilion through the motorway with boring industrial landscapes, we had a ride through the smaller country roads of the Entre-Deux-Mers wine region, discovering charming villages and medieval churches.
Arriving at 10am at Saint-Emilion, they had a romantic walk without the crowds in the narrow streets of the stunning medieval village, a UNESCO heritage.
At 11am, leaving the village for a cruise with top down in the vineyards around, which are also classified UNESCO World Heritage, with a stop at the very prestigious Château Angélus. From there you have a beautiful view on the hills covered by the vines.
After a few more minutes we arrived at Chateau Jean Faure, a beautiful top-growth which is very much involved in organic wines. A passionate guide explained the move to sustainable vine-growing techniques, in full respect with the terroir and Mother Nature.
It is time to drink! Roll the wine in your glass. Release the aromas. Then enjoy the delicate yet powerful tastes of a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé.
Back to Bordeaux around 1pm, perfect timing for a lunch at a terrace in historic Bordeaux.
