At the time it was built, it was a very expensive car destined to the distinguished French high-class. Only 10388 cabriolets were built from 1962 to 1968. Just 1000 of them are reported to survive around the world!

The very smooth and reliable 4 cylinders engine of 1,6L delivers 80 HP. Mated to a 4 speed manual transmission, it offers good performances for this light car weighing only 1050 kg.
Much more comfortable and practical to use than its English and Italian competitors of the era, the 404 Cabriolet is the perfect definition for "Le Grand Tourisme à la Française".
